MLB Playoff Predictions
Yankees over Twins - CC has proven that he can carry teams in the playoffs on his stomach, I mean, back. Yankees really choked away home field but the Yankees can hit anywhere. With Justin Morneau still sidelined, the Twins just don’t have enough.
Rangers over Rays - Cliff Lee, like CC, can eat up innings when it matters and with a contract pending, his motivation is greater than ever....

God, I have missed you Sons of Anarchy
Tonight’s Season 3 premier was worth the wait. I’m so charged up from it that I won’t be sleeping anytime soon (12am currently).
One of the ongoing debates among my friends is which show is better: Sons or Breaking Bad.
Right now, I side with Breaking Bad which is bit unfair because Breaking Bad has one more season in the books already, and season 3 was among my favorite...

Emmy Reactions
I normally don’t enjoy award shows but given the significantly large amount of television I’ve watched this past year, I had to give this telecast a shot.
Pleased with Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston sweeping the drama categories for their performances on Breaking Bad, the best show on TV currently.
Disappointed that neither Breaking Bad or LOST were able to top Mad Men. I cannot...

So happy I don’t have to watch Brian Fuentes blow games for the Angels any longer. He was traded to the Twins today.

"Chuck" Is Must-See TV
Normally I have an aversion to anything on NBC except for Friday Night Lights, but I just spent the past 7 days knocking out 3 seasons of “Chuck.”
This might be the most entertaining show on TV right now. Now, I’m not saying it’s better than your Breaking Bad’s or Sons of Anarchy’s. Those shows are a completely different genre and are far more serious....

Sam Smith's Scottie Pippen HOF Article →
Click the link above for Sam Smith’s take on Hall of Famer, Scottie Pippen.
Pippen was my all-time favorite basketball player. I owned all his shoes growing up and even modeled my own lack of game after his all-around offensive and defensive game. I’ve always felt bad for the guy though as Jordan got all the credit and attention while Scottie was severely underpaid for his major...

12 Minute LOST Epilogue, "The New Man in Charge."
The footage has been floating around all day, and I’ve fought off all urges to watch it thus far. I almost don’t want to watch it as I know it will be the last new LOST footage I’ll ever see.
The franchise still lives on and part of me thinks that ABC will become so desperate for another hit someday that they’ll do some sort of spinoff. Wishful thinking I know, but keep...

Inception Was a Sensory Overload
My initial reaction was overwhelmed. but in a good way. There was so much movie to digest as there were so many layers and films within films. Now that I’ve had a chance to process the film, I like it more and more. It’s everything you expect out of Nolan including incredible visuals and a perfect score composed by long time partner Hans Zimmer.
This movie really had no lulls....

Home Run Derby Is Worthless
Is there a bigger waste of time than watching the home run derby? Watching glorified batting practice is not worth 3 hours of anyone’s time. Home runs are only impressive when they matter.

Jesse Jackson Is Scum
Jesse Jackson has chimed in on Cleveland Cavaliers Owner, Dan Gilbert, and his open letter criticizing LeBron James for leaving the franchise for Miami. Jackson claimed Gilbert viewed James as a “runaway slave” and that his letter to Lebron was filled with racism and danger towards LeBron.
Every few months, this piece of garbage has to chime in on the latest news and claim some act...

Take The Money, Role Players
I don’t like what I’m seeing from valuable role players in the NBA right now. Udonis Haslem, you deserve more money than what Miami is paying you to win Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh a championship. They wouldn’t take less to play with you — just each other. Same goes for Derek Fisher. Kobe Bryant wanted you back, but he didn’t take less money at the...

The Conspiracy of LeBron's Number Change
LeBron announced midseason that he’d be changing his number to 6 in honor of Michael Jordan to start the 2010-2011 season. Many people speculated this was just to take over the jersey sales lead a la Kobe’s change from 8 to 24. However, Miami already had the number 23 retired in honor of Jordan for many years.
Did LeBron know for this long he’d be headed to Miami? Was the...

Quote of the Day

NBA Free Agency Update
Miami Heat scored big time with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh while there’s still room for LeBron technically. There’s no way this happens though since the rest of the team would be thin even if a couple veterans take the minimum to win a ring. LeBron needs to be the alpha-dog if he’s going to become the best the player of all time. Will be interesting to see if Bosh is a...
